Sometimes the worst damage on a home is hiding right in plain sight. We did an inspection on this home and found exactly that - rotten LP siding, dangerously high moisture readings in the wall, and original aluminum windows that have long since given up doing their job. None of it was obvious from the curb. That's exactly why we use a moisture meter during inspections instead of just doing a visual walk-around.

LP siding has a known weakness. When it gets wet and stays wet - whether from poor flashing, failing window seals, or just years of exposure - it starts to rot from the inside out. By the time you can see it with your eyes, the damage underneath is usually much worse. The aluminum windows on this home weren't helping either. Old aluminum frames conduct cold, they don't seal well, and when the seals on the glass fail, you get that cloudy, fogged-up look that tells you moisture has already gotten between the panes.

We've added this home to our summer schedule for a full siding and window replacement. New siding means properly installed, moisture-resistant material with correct flashing and sealing at every penetration and opening. New windows mean real thermal performance, tight seals, and frames that won't conduct cold air straight into your home. Doing both at the same time is also the smart move - you don't want to put new siding around old failing windows, or replace windows and then tear the wall apart again later.

Here's the part worth paying attention to. We're running a summer promotion right now - FREE WINDOWS when you book a qualifying siding and window replacement project with us. If your home has LP siding, older aluminum windows, or you've been putting off getting an exterior inspection done, this is a good time to get on the schedule. Summer books up fast and this deal won't last all season.
